Overview

East Penn Manufacturing, manufacturer of Deka Batteries and Accessories, is looking for qualified Toolmakers and Machinists at our Machine Shop in Lyon Station, PA. Make a difference by joining a company that powers the world!

Opportunities primarily available on 2nd and 3rd shift.

Consistent schedule and guaranteed 40 hours with opportunity for overtime.

Wages up to $37 per hour.

Average wages for qualified Toolmakers starting at $32 per hour. Average wages for qualified Machinists starting at $27 per hour.

Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and training.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities are fabricating parts for Industrial Manufacturing Equipment and Systems.

• Fabricate Replacement Parts for Industrial Manufacturing Equipment and Systems
\n
• Fabricate Parts for New Equipment
\n
• Research and Development of New Projects
\n
• Programming of CNC Equipment
\n
• Fabricate and Repair Parts for Injection Molds
\n
• Fabricate and Repair Parts for Progressive Stamping Dies
\n
• Other responsibilities include being proficient in interpreting terminology applied to drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions making new parts to close tolerance required in the manufacture or repair of tools, dies, molds, and machinery, all with minimal supervision.

• Interfaces as needed with engineering department in regards to material selection, and design of part being machined, suggesting alternative if necessary for cost reduction and improved operation.

• *Maintains regular attendance.
\n
• *Ability to work mandatory over time.
\n
• Performs other duties as requested by Management.
\n
• Responsible for quality of work.
\n
• Responsible for proper hygiene, housekeeping, and safety practices.

Is capable, without supervision, of safe and proper setup and operation of machine shop equipment to include but not be limited to the following, and is capable of diagnosing and repair as regards to their mechanical operation.
